GED® Mathematical Reasoning: Full-Length Practice Exam (Level 2 - Advanced) · preview lesson
This is the advanced GED® Mathematical Reasoning practice exam. The format is identical to the real test and to Level 1:
- 46 questions in 115 minutes -- just over 2 minutes each.
- Part 1 (Questions 1-5): NO CALCULATOR. Still by-hand work, but with negative exponents, scientific notation, and order-of-operations traps.
- Part 2 (Questions 6-46): CALCULATOR ALLOWED (on-screen TI-30XS).
- A formula sheet is provided (next lesson), and you cannot return to Part 1 after starting Part 2.
- Scored 100-200, and you need 145 to pass. No penalty for wrong answers -- never leave a blank.
What's harder here than Level 1: these items are all medium or hard, and most take several steps. Expect to combine ideas -- a percent and a ratio, a formula and an equation. The single most useful habit on hard items is to write down each step instead of doing it all in your head.
