This is the mastery GED® RLA practice exam -- harder than Levels 1-3. The format is unchanged:

  • 46 questions plus the Extended Response, in 150 minutes; scored 100-200, 145 to pass.

What makes Level 4 the hardest yet: every question is a hard, layered item. You will name the unstated assumption beneath an argument, judge an unreliable narrator, synthesize two paired passages into one conclusion, see through satire, and follow an extended metaphor. The language items reach the finer points of grammar and style. There are no routine questions.

Quick Check

An argument calls a test 'fair' because everyone takes it the same way. What hidden assumption does that rely on?
